NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (abc40) - One man's trash is another man's treasure and at The Great Treasure Hunt in Northampton, the older, the better. People from across the region are lining up at the Quality Inn on Conz Street to have their family heirlooms, scrap jewelry, paintings, baseball cards, old toys, antiques and coins assessed. If the consultants like what they see, they just might make an offer to buy the items.
Mike Wescott is a buying consultant with The Great Treasure Hunt. He travels the country assessing and buying. He says if you have gold, silver, musical instruments or anything dating back before the 1970s you should have the experts take a look at it. A consultation is free and you do not need an appointment. The consultants may not make you an offer but at least you will know how much your personal treasure chest is worth.
The Great Treasure Hunt will be in Northampton through Saturday, April 25.
